Location: San Diego, California
Duration: Single-Phase Production
Scope: Full Production Lifecycle

Risin Tide partnered with Intercept Pharmaceuticals and its patient-focused subsidiary Living With PBC to lead the creative execution of a high-impact advocacy campaign centered around Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC)a rare, progressive liver disease that affects thousands globally.

The primary aim of the campaign was to shed light on the real-life experience of living with PBC, building awareness around the emotional, physical, and social dimensions of this underrepresented conditionwhile also reflecting on the role of medical advancements in improving life quality.

Our role covered the entire production cycle:

Led pre-production, full crew coordination, direction, and post-production for a dedicated shoot in San Diego, California.

Produced a short documentary highlighting one patients journey with PBCemphasizing lived experience, day-to-day resilience, and community impact.

Delivered 5 vertical shortform videos designed for social media and awareness outreach, capturing key interview insights and lifestyle moments in an accessible format.

Crafted all content in close alignment with Intercepts ethical standards and communication tone, offering a more modern, respectful, and emotionally connected visual language than traditional pharmaceutical storytelling.

The final media suite supported both education and empathyhelping to amplify patient voices, destigmatize a little-known condition, and foster better understanding within both medical and public spheres.
