Risin’ Tide produced a destination image film for My Switzerland x FMD, created in the Valais region around Zermatt as part of a wider filmmaking competition initiative bringing together selected top teams from Germany. Within that framework, our team was on site to craft a cinematic piece that would capture the uniqueness of the region through a mix of sport, landscape, and authentic local atmosphere.
Our production approach was both cinematic and strategic:
– We developed and produced a tourism-led image film built to highlight the distinct identity of the Valais region—blending alpine grandeur, local culture, and emotional storytelling into a single, cohesive piece.
– We featured a high-level former international figure skater alongside skiing and place-based moments, creating a film that feels both elevated and deeply rooted in the experience of the region itself.
– We executed the entire production cycle within one week—shooting, editing, and delivering the final film on an extremely tight turnaround without compromising visual ambition or emotional impact.
The final result is a visually rich and emotionally resonant destination film that showcases the specialness of the region with both scale and intimacy. Among multiple productions created as part of the wider initiative, our film was one of the standout entries in the running—proof that fast execution does not have to come at the expense of depth, quality, or originality.
